Gintama Sneakers to Be Sold in Japan

6,980-yen shoes designed in the image of lead character Gintoki
The character goods maker MOVIC announced on Thursday that it will start selling Gintama' sneakers on August 11. The "stylish" design of the 6,980-yen (about US$86.60) shoes is inspired by the outfit of the ongoing anime's lead character Gintoki Sakata.
The shoes will arrive in small (about 23 centimeters/9 inches) and medium (about 24.5 centimeters/9.6 inches) sizes in Animate stores nationwide, the Animate Online Shop, and MOVIC's own mail-order service.
