Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel Smartphone Game Heads West

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Wednesday that it will release the Sword Art Online: Alicization Braiding role-playing game for iOS and Android devices in the West under the title Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel. The company also began streaming an English-subtitled teaser movie, battle video, and game system movie for the game.
The game will be free-to-play with in-app purchases. The company will announce more information on August 30.
The Sword Art Online: Alicization anime premiered in Japan in October 2018 and is streaming on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and FunimationNow. The series is adapting the entire "Alicization Arc" of Reki Kawahara's original novels and will air for four cours, or four quarters of a year. The first two cours aired from October to March, and the second two cours, titled Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld, will premiere in October.
